About North Star Analytics
Founded in 2006, North Star Analytics LLC (NSA) is a new venture assembling a suite of software solutions that will
enable people and organizations to intuitively harness powerful analytical tools
for information analysis and discovery. NSA also provides business and
technical consulting services to help organizations address a serious business capabilities gap.
Briefly stated,
many organizations do not realize the full value of their technology solutions because they
are ill-prepared and/or ill-advised on how to approach defining, designing, building, stabilizing and deploying those solutions.
NSA believes that the
Microsoft Solutions Framework® (MSF) provides a proven approach to addressing this gap.
As outlined in Mike Turner’s
new book about MSF,
MSF provides an adaptable framework for successfully delivering solutions
faster, requiring fewer people, and involving less risk while yielding higher quality results. MSF
helps teams directly address common causes of technology project failure to improve
success rates, solution quality, and business impact. Created to deal with the dynamic nature
of technology projects and environments, MSF fosters the ability to adapt to continual change
within the course of a project.
Since MSF is an evolving body of knowledge, practices and approaches, NSA has created an
MSF Community to make available the
latest MSF news, information and updates. NSA also added a forum for MSF practitioners to
share their experiences and questions.
